Group Classes for Children

We divide our group classes for children between four and twelve by their relative skill level.

How would you describe your child's swimming capabilities?

Your child is likely a Beginner Swimmer if they meet any of the following criteria:

  • are fearful of the water
  • have no swimming experience
  • feel uncomfortable in the water, even shallow water
  • know none of the major strokes (Freestyle, Backstroke, Breaststroke, Butterfly)

Your child is likely an Intermediate Swimmer if they meet most the following criteria:

  • no fear of the water
  • have had limited swimming experience
  • comfortable in shallow water, but not the deep end
  • know some of the major strokes (Freestyle, Backstroke, Breaststroke, Butterfly)

Your child is likely an Advanced Swimmer if they meet most of the following criteria:

  • competitive swimmers
  • have had extensive swimming experience
  • comfortable in both shallow water and the deep end
  • know all of the major strokes (Freestyle, Backstroke, Breaststroke, Butterfly)

Still not sure where your child fits into our curriculum? If so, we'd recommend you first join us for a Skills Assessment so that one of our instructors can help you make an informed decision about your options.

A 25-minute Skills Assessment is $55 and can be scheduled for any day of the week, except Fridays. You can request a Skills Assessment in person at the office, over the phone, or through our online portal.
